As a city church in the heart of Gannon University, at First United Methodist Church we want to reach out to young adults and college students in the area.

We are here to offer to students from all area colleges worship, life, and growth in Christian faith.

We welcome students to all our services of worship, all our Bible studies, events, and meals. Outreach to college students and providing ministry to all area universities is an important part of First Church.

Many area classes and clubs require community service. We have a lot of opportunities through our connections with the United Methodist Alliance, local community charities, as well as help around our own church!

• There are many local food banks to contribute to as well as help out with distribution.
• The Rainbow Connection, a thrift store sponsored by the UM Alliance is often need of extra hands and supplies.  Just ask!
• Youth Cafes at FUMC are held once a month, usually on the third Sunday.  Help out and enjoy time with the youth!
• Help with childcare is always a way you can help out in your spare time.
